The Peshwa's Letter

After Malhar Rao's death, Peshwa Madhavrao's letter arrived. He wrote to Ahilya — "Let the Holkar kingdom come under the Maratha federation. My general will administer Malwa." Ahilya read the letter — and remained calm.
