The March to Gwalior
जून १८५८ वर्षे लक्ष्मीबाई, तात्या-टोपे, रावसाहेब च ग्वालियरम् अभिययुः। ग्वालियर-महाराजः शिन्देः सेना विद्रोहिपक्षे मिलिता। महाराजः स्वयं आग्रानगरम् पलायत। एवं ग्वालियरदुर्गम् बिना महायुद्धेन प्राप्तम्। "ग्वालियरम् अस्माकम्!" — विद्रोहिनाः उच्चैः अघोषयन्।
In June 1858, Lakshmibai, Tatya Tope, and Rao Sahib marched to Gwalior. The Scindia Maharaja's army joined the rebel side. The Maharaja himself fled to Agra. Thus Gwalior Fort was obtained without a major battle. "Gwalior is ours!" — the rebels proclaimed loudly.
