The Royal Teacher
Bhishma was a great warrior — the grandfather of the Pandavas. He searched for Dronacharya — to be the teacher of the royal princes. Drona was a brahmin, but unrivalled in the science of weapons. Invited by Bhishma, Drona came to Hastināpura. Both the Pandavas and the Kauravas — all the royal princes — became his students.
