The Preparation
In the city of Pune, in the Bhidewada building, there was one room. Jyotirao and Savitribai — both of them — prepared the room together. A slate board, chalk, books — everything was arranged. Savitribai thought — "Tomorrow, history will be made. For the first time in India, a vidyālaya (विद्यालयः — school) for girls will open."
