Parse each sentence: verb → subject (Prathamā) → object (Dvitīyā) → other relations

एषः बालकः। एषा बालिका।

Eṣaḥ bālakaḥ. Eṣā bālikā.

This is a boy. This is a girl. (simple identification sentences)

एतत् फलम्। एतत् पुस्तकम्।

Etat phalam. Etat pustakam.

This is a fruit. This is a book.

सः पठति। सा पठति।

Saḥ paṭhati. Sā paṭhati.

He reads. She reads.

अयम् कः? अयम् आचार्यः।

Ayam kaḥ? Ayam ācāryaḥ.

Who is this? This is a teacher.

इदम् किम्? इदम् पुस्तकम्।

Idam kim? Idam pustakam.

What is this? This is a book.
